A walker that is absolutely bonkers about dogs and who actually loves the rain. All walks are tailored to the individual needs and age of the dogs. Visits are also available to include care for elderley dogs and puppies. Solo and group walks available.

We are fully insured, DBS checked, have Tractive GPS trackers, carry a first aid kit, are canine first aid trained and of course we have the professionally fitted crates in the van for the safest mode of transport. We are a proud member of Professional Dog Businesses UK.

Walkies With Elaine does not give any treats on walks. We do not use balls (for numerous reasons), and try not to interrupt the walks for photographs. We may practice keeping the group calm and quiet to the side for passers by and take opportunities for pictures.

Walkies With Elaine is fully compliant with GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation) and all photographs will be edited to keep phone numbers and identifcation of address from tags and harnesses. We have chosen to have the van unsigned with our logo for discretion on picking up and dropping off precious pooches.

Services Offered (Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm).

Dogs

- Group walks are priced at £15 per dog for one hour walk. Please note the dog may be out of the house longer, as this hour does not include pickup and drop off. Insured for a maximum of 6 dogs each group.

- Solo walks are offered to those dogs who may not be suitable for group walks for any reason. Priced at £18 dog per one hour.

- Any additional dogs in the same household will be priced at 50%. £7.50 for each additional dog for a group walk. £9 each additional dog for a solo walk.

- Puppy and elderly dog visits are tailored to each individual need of the dog and priced at £15 for one hours visit.

Cats

Experienced and established cat sitter offering visits in your own home. A genuine animal lover with lots of feline friends, offering 1 or 2 visits per day to your home whilst you are away. Walkies with Elaine is fully compliant with GDPR so therefore no pictures will be taken that will enable identification of home address. The Walkies With Elaine van remains unsigned for discretion at times of visits. Cat visits at £10 for 20-30 minutes, and £8 for any second visit that's required the same day.

Small Animals

Any other small animal either at the time of feeding cats or as a separate entity will be charged as per care required.

Walkies With Elaine offers a free no obligation initial consultation. Relevant paperwork will be completed following discussions regarding individual needs. Any concerns or special requests can be highlighted.

Safety

Walkies With Elaine is fully committed to ongoing professional development to keep up to date with latest practices and uses only force free care. We will provide the same compassion and dedication into caring for your precious pets as if they were one of our own. We never give any treats to any dogs and will be aware of any allergies. In the event of any altercations between other dogs and your own, please be reassured we will do our very best to protect your dog. By law all pets must be micro-chipped and all dogs must wear ID collars, please ensure that your details are up to date. If your dog is lost you will be notified immediately if this arises. We will always be open and honest with you. We will endeavour to do what we would wish if it were our own dogs that had been lost.

Specialising In Pet Bereavement Support

Nobody ever wishes to think about the day we say goodbye to our beloved pets. But when we do we are very often overcome with deep routed grief, often far more painful than anticipated. Our pets truly are our family members and the bond is so strong. Each pet being so special and unique. Walkies with Elaine specialises in pet bereavement. Obtaining a Pet Bereavement Counseller Diploma (with Distinction) in 2024, we are now able to offer free support to those who need it. With a strong background and experience in bereavement, having worked in funeral care and midwifery, this seems a very natural progression to use these skills and attributes in relation to our precious pets. Frequently asked questions

I already have a dog walker is this an issue? Absolutely no issue at all. Whether it’s a week of walks while your dog walker is away or to share the walks equally at Walkies with Elaine we are more than happy to do whatever is needed. We are not territorial about this and have asked other dog walkers for help when we are unable to accommodate. The old saying “many hands make light work”. What happens if I need to cancel the walk? There is no cancellation fee even on the morning of the booking if for any reason you are able to walk your own dog. We all know it’s better that the dogs are walked by their own family. There will be no cancellation fee and no charge even if this happens last minute. If however this becomes a recurring theme and happens regularly, or we are unable to provide appointments for other dog walks and have said no to other bookings, then we may have to revisit this and have a full discussion. Do you do 30 minute walks? Unfortunately we are unable to offer any 30 minute appointment times. If your dog is older or younger and unable to do the full hours walk then we would prefer to do a shorter 30 minute walk and spend the other 30 minutes socialising, playing, feeding and providing a little TLC. How do we pay? Whatever is easier for you. Cash or bank transfer. Some people “pay as you go” for each walk. Some pay weekly or monthly. Invoices and receipts are available if required as done for all walks by Elaine.

Privacy Policy

At Walkies with Elaine, we are fully committed to protecting your privacy. By choosing to use our pet sitting and dog walking services you are giving us permission to collect your information. We will only use your information in accordance with legislation i.e. the Data Protection Act 1998 and in line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You give the information directly to us when you contact us about services either via message, email or telephone. If continuing with Walkies with Elaine you will be asked to fill in registration and a consent form which will require you to give more information. What type of information is collected from you?

We may use your information to enable provision of services, provide invoices and receipts or send a notification of changes to services. Your information is only ever used by the dog walker and not shared or sold to any third party. The only exception is when your information needs to be shared with your vet for the wellbeing of your dog, for lawful purposes or with your consent or at your request. Your information is kept for 7 years in line with regulations from HMRC. After this time if you are no longer using services, your information can be deleted. All information is kept on password controlled mobile devices or paper copies stored in a locked cabinet.
